With just a few days to go before the launch of its early access on February 6 (and February 11 for the rest), Civilization VII has been reviewed by the press.

Firaxis Games' game currently boasts an average score of 81% on Metacritic out of 50 reviews. On OpenCritic, the average is currently 82%. Of course, these scores will change as more and more reviews see the light of day.

Among the positive points of this seventh entry are the improved intuitiveness of city management, a successful visual aspect and a deeper diplomacy system. Everything to do with politics is also better managed, the overall pace of the game is great and the tutorials are very clear.

Shortcomings include a so-so interface, an AI that sometimes makes illogical choices, slowdowns and a questionable DLC policy.
